Neal Fiske’s sophisticated company is the sum of his experiences and then some.

At the New Jersey Institute of Technology, he studied environmental engineering and architectural design. From his decade as a high-end remodeler in the New York metro area, he mastered the challenges of large-scale projects. As an executive with an established home builder in Florida, he became familiar with regional building conditions and techniques, and with local vendors and trade contractors, and he earned his state contractor’s license.

He then put it all to work at TriplePoint Design/Build. A study in evolution by design, Fiske’s multiple-award–winning company is strong in a competitive marketplace by virtue of a careful systemization of field and office procedures, and an ongoing commitment to branding and public relations. A newly streamlined process follows projects from lead-in to final punch-out, for instance, and strict financial controls track historical data, identify trends, and accurately forecast budgets.

A firm believer in cross-training and safety, Fiske asks his lean and multitalented field staff to branch beyond primary skill sets as needed, fostering in-house completion of tasks from selective demo to interior trim and window installation. Efficiencies, such as an online “remodeling coach,” simplify lead screening. Combined with the company’s recent purchase and renovation of a high-profile office space, “We are poised to be in an unbelievable spot when this economy turns around,” he says.
