It doesn't exist for retail, but maybe someday it will. The "dualWash bipartite dishwasher" mounts on the wall and can do two small washes at once, or use one side for storage while washing dishes on the other. Designed by students Gokce Altun, Nagihan Tuna, Pinar Simsek, and Halit Sancar and developed with Bosch and Siemens Hausgerate GmbH for the Home Heroes: Designing Tomorrow's Home Appliances project, the dishwasher uses super-critical carbon dioxide (CO2 in a fluid state) to clean the dishes. Then the super-critical carbon dioxide turns to a gas phase to get food particles, which then go into a cleanable filter. The vacuum seal door is reportedly easy to operate.
My reaction was "How cool. I want one of these!" What products have you seen or heard about lately for which you had the same thought? Email me; I'd love to know about them.
