The Home Depot announced the winners of its 2019 Product Innovation Awards, recognizing supplier partners who introduce new products that deliver efficiency and cost-savings to customers, both pros and DIYers. Recognized products will be available in-store and online marked with an official The Home Depot Innovation seal.
MTD's Cub Cadet Ultima Series ZT1 50 FAB Zero-Turn Riding Mower was recognized as the Overall Winner of the Product Innovation Awards, with American Woodmark's Home Decorators Collection of bath vanities and Globe's Commercial Electric 6-inch LED Slim Color Changing Recessed Lighting Kit chosen as First and Second Runners Up.
"We are proud to recognize the most innovative products on the market through our annual innovation awards ceremony," Ted Decker, merchandising executive vice president for The Home Depot, said in a news release. "Every day, we work closely with our supplier partners to bring to market products that deliver high quality and value, save our customers time and provide ease and convenience to complete their home improvement projects."
In addition to the the three winners, DeWalt's Atomic 20V Compact Series, Husky Welded Garage Cabinets by Hyxion, Jeld-Wen's F-2500 Fiberglass Folding Patio Door, Home Legend Water-Resistant Bamboo Flooring, Milwaukee Packout Tool Storage, ReVent Bath Fans, and Traeger's Wi-Fi Pellet Grill were recognized as finalists.
The home improvement retailer also recognized Chervon/EGO as the Environmental Partner of the Year for its line of lithium battery power equipment, Samsung as the Interconnected Partner of the Year for its enhanced online content and "dedication to the customer experience," and Ryobi as Marketing Innovation Partner of the Year for creating a "cross-functional program" leveraging its platforms to better deliver products and messages to customers.
