Touting what it calls an industry first, Versatex has launched single-extruded sheets of Versatex Max in a true 1 1/2-inch thickness. The cellular PVC material is 1/4 inch thicker than other products on the market, and is available in nominal 48-inch widths and standard lengths of 8, 12, 16 or 18 feet. Versatex Max sheets offer the same tight cell structure, density, and core consistency as the maker's other products, as well as tolerances of +/- 1/32-inch thickness.

The new 1 1/2-inch sheet technology is designed to save millwork shops and OEMs valuable time and money by reducing or eliminating the need to laminate materials during fabrication. The material is ideal for custom mouldings, rail systems, pergolas, corbels, and other decorative elements that require thicker stock.

"For years, OEMs, millwork customers, and custom home builders who do ornamental work with PVC have pushed manufacturers for something thick enough to reduce lamination costs in the shop and the field," says Versatex president John Pace. "We pride ourselves on innovation so we're thrilled to have made a 1 1/2-inch sheet a practical reality." Versatex | 724.857.1111 | versatex.com
