Remodeling Design Awards 2013: Commercial Remodeling over $500,000
Alterstudio Architects partnered with One.Eleven.Design to create this office space for Peddle, an Internet used-car sales portal based in Austin in the 19th-century Buttrey Building. The clients wanted a space that was fun and creative and would allow for future growth. Custom joist lighting is by Louis Poulsen.

The plan called for three fixed boxes – kitchen and two conference rooms -- with open areas around them for easy movement.
The form and mass of the reception area make a nice juxtaposition next to the open ceiling.
One of two conference rooms.
The light “zipper” swoops above the administrative areas, adding a bit of whimsy. Lighting from Lithonia.
The kitchen area and break room back up to the pool table. Plumbing fittings are by Elkay.
The pool table is surrounded on three sides by artificial turn supplied by Always Greener. Reclaimed wood is by Elmwood.
A flex/meeting space with a quiet room beyond.
