A former employee at an unnamed Beloit, Wis., roofing company has pleaded guilty to wire fraud, according to the Beloit Daily News. The women admitted to defrauding the roofing company for more than three years, obtaining money and property by fraudulent representations.

The unnamed company was located in Rockton, Ill. from 2013 to March of 2014 and was in Beloit, Wis. from 2014 to 2016, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. Attorney - Northern District of Illinois.

The woman, Michelle McKinney, used company credit cards and a debit card to make unauthorized purchases for her own benefit totaling $475,775.84. Prosecutors said McKinney disguised her unauthorized charges as company expenses such as office supplies or fees.

She also created fictitious payroll invoices in the amount of her unauthorized purchases and entered her personal transactions in bulk into the company’s accounting system instead of line-by-line to hide the purchases.

McKinney faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and $250,00 in fines.
