A recently implemented charitable program from Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation is helping drum up experienced volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity International program. "Heavy Duty Helping" is designed to give tradespeople -- both Milwaukee Tool users and others -- an opportunity to give something back to their communities by facilitating volunteering at their local Habitat for Humanity project homes.

Heavy Duty Helping is executed by local tool distributors, retailers, and dealers, who hold fundraising and volunteer recruitment efforts and pledge to donate a portion of their Milwaukee tool sales to their local Habitat for Humanity chapter. "Milwaukee makes a matching donation to Habitat for Humanity International," says Michael Long, channel manager for Milwaukee and the Heavy Duty Helping spokesperson. A list of participating distributors can be found at www.milwaukeetools.com.

The tool company donates tools to Habitat and also partners with the NFL Players Association to pair active and retired NFL players with Habitat work crews.
