The Newport Beach - Corona Del Mar branch of Patch finds that indoor/outdoor living rooms are growing in popularity on the West coast. Rooms that open, from floor to ceiling, to the outside can be a great to give homeowners space to host guests and enjoy warmer weather.

A fast-growing trend is to have sliding glass panels that slide into the wall, completely opening up the indoor living to the patio, as though it were one continuous space.

While many colder-weather markets east of California may not be able to support such a bold project, the concept of indoor/outdoor living has been something homeowners have put a greater emphasis on in their homes. Projects, like several highlighted by Patch in Southern California, take this concept to the extreme with completely outdoor living rooms.
