A Toronto home renovation company has closed without warning or completing work, leaving several homeowners out tens of thousands of dollars, CTV News Toronto reports. One homeowner deposited $64,000 for a renovation for a relative's home and, after conducting the demolition, no work has been started.

"Dozens and dozens" of other homeowners are faced with the same reality after 3 Day Reno closed its doors. Three former employees said the company also closed its doors without paying them. The company's website has been taken down and the unit location of the store is now empty.

The closing of Canadian 3 Day Renois the third home renovation store closure in recent weeks. Energy Wise Home Improvements, a home improvement store with locations in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, closed in mid-October despite receiving thousands of dollars for work that wasn't completed. Similarly, seven-unit retailer Home Owners Bargain Outlet closed last week and filed for bankruptcy despite owing vendors more than $5 million and having hundreds of undelivered orders.
