Anne Tegeler (front, right), who's worked at Tegeler Design & Remodeling since 1996, believes "it's up to the people to figure out how to make the company efficient, effective, and profitable." The people, in this case, are the company's employees. Her company's overall goal, she says, is to figure out how to keep expenses down and customers happy, in the context of a fun environment.
Salespeople set their own goals and are required, as part of their training, to work with carpenters on kitchen installations. Carpenters, in turn, are expected to show up every now and then on a Saturday morning for floor duty at the company's showroom.
