Like the name of his company, Steve Taylor (standing) offers service tailor made for his community. The former chef learned how to create a company from his experiences as a waterproofing salesperson. When his customers started asking him to do remodeling and basement finishing work, he augmented the company's menu. (A few years ago, Taylor purchased an Owens Corning basement franchise and became the third largest of the company's 44 nationwide franchisees.)

Full-service remodeling is the smallest part of the company. "I want to make the process as customer-friendly as possible. That speaks not to the product but to the process," Taylor says.
