After five years in business, NewSouth Window Solutions has skyrocketed to 14th on our Specialty Remodeler list, the only firm younger than 10 years old in the top 25. Part of that success is the leadership team of Dan Ochstein and Earl Rahn, and marketing director Amy Rahn, all veterans of the field. Now they’ve succeeded with a brand-new business plan and product.
“Customer service sells,” says Earl Rahn. “So does the allure of true factory-direct windows. Nobody touches the window but us.” That was a fairly new concept in Florida when the company started; Rahn estimates it’s the largest factory-direct window and door manufacturer in the state. But its success comes from its product as much as its business plan. “Our goal is to develop, manufacture, and install the Florida window,” says Rahn. Already in Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota, and West Palm Beach, NewSouth is targeting Fort Lauderdale for future expansion.
