Bosch has announced that it is recalling approximately 2 million battery chargers for its Skil Warrior drills. The company has received about 160 reports of transformers within the chargers overheating. In one instance, a fire resulted, causing property damage.
The chargers were included with drill model numbers 2375, 2380, 2475, 2480, 2482, 2580, 2582, and 2882. They were also sold separately with model numbers 92950, 92970, 92980, and 92990, with part number 2610995852. Model and part numbers can be found on the back of the plug or on the side of the chargers.
Bosch and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission advise that these chargers should be unplugged immediately. For more information, contact Robert Bosch Tool Corp. at (800) 661-5398.
