Big FanAs part of an overall effort to offer energy-efficient products, the LGR Group installs Panasonic bath fans, most of which carry the Energy Star label. But in addition to energy efficiency, "the Panasonic fan is the quietest on the market and has an incredible life cycle," says Lonny Rutherford, citing the unit's more than 30,000-hour operating life and low failure rate. "I always look at products that will give me the least amount of callback or warranty work." Rutherford says the units are easy to install, even for retrofit applications.

"Measurements are good enough for concept sketches and final drawings, especially for remodels and renovations." The tool comes with a battery and case.

Sink or SwimThe hand-crafted and hand-painted sinks from Le Bijou allow Chip Buttrill to offer his higher-end clients a unique touch. The company's porcelain sinks and other bath fixtures are available in stock patterns or can be custom-painted with designs to match various decors. "Although a little pricey, the sinks allow me to help a customer make a bathroom or a wet bar very unique because the designs can be almost anything imaginable," says Buttrill, who recently installed five of the sinks in one house. "They can match wallpaper," he says. "They can match a theme in a room." Buttrill also appreciates the high-quality materials and firing processes used during manufacturing.
