Project DescriptionBig changes don’t have to mean a big budget, as this kitchen remodel proves. The client’s wish list included updated countertops, a new look for the cabinets, and improving the room’s circulation without changing the footprint—all for a reasonable budget, says Pamela Coslet, president of Vineyard Chic Kitchens.
Coslet completely updated the cabinets without replacing them by adding a whipped cream finish and decorative X-mullion glass doors, along with raising them to the ceiling. “We were able to give her a glamorous and sophisticated new look at a fraction of the price of brand-new cabinets,” Coslet says, likening the makeover process to the fairy tale Cinderella.
The team also installed a new tile backsplash, farmhouse sink, marble countertops, and a custom range hood. “You can still see that it’s the same kitchen, but it looks totally different with the change of color and the decorative options that were used and the lighting,” says Coslet. “This is one of my favorite kitchens that we’ve done in the last year or so.”--by Helena Okolicsanyi
