  A new universal retractable hose, CHV1, is now available for use with the maker's Central Vaccum System. The CHV1 hose stores at 11 feet, but expands to 30 feet in length during cleaning. The new retractable hose plugs into any standard central vacuum outlet, which then activates the vacuum cleaner. Users can extend the hose to its full length by unlatching the collar on the handle.   While conventional plastic presents a 'green' problem with regard to creating waste, professionals who chose the EcoDrop biodegradable plastic drop cloth can help reduce the impact on landfills and the environment. EcoDrop is made of a unique plastic that, when discarded in soil in the presence of microorganisms, moisture, and oxygen, will decompose into simple materials found in nature, the maker says.
