    Safe Custody
    The manufacturer now offers FSC chain-of-custody certification for its engineered wood products, which already were SFI certified. Available products include BCI joists with Versa-Lam LVL flanges, Versa-Stud LVL framing lumber, and Versa-Rim rimboards.     Tropical Oasis
    FSC-certified machiche tropical hardwood decking comes in 2-foot-by-2-foot solid squares for installation on flat surfaces or in 5/4-by-6-inch planks. The open-pored, dense hardwood comes in colors ranging from yellow/tan to medium brown reds and dark reds; over time, lighter spots darken to a reddish brown hue. The wood is sourced from Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. The material is resistant to decay-causing organisms and is moderately resistant to dry-wood termites, according to the company.
