The cellular PVC material is engineered to look, feel, and work like wood with added resistance to rotting, warping, moisture, and insects. Unlike other concealed decking installation systems that use fasteners or clips to old deck boards in place. the Kreg Deck Jig uses a straight-forward approach that creates a wood-to-wood bond through precise placement of self-tapping screws. By placing the Jig at the edge of a deck board, users can drill holes into the edge of the board using a specialized step bit and the Deck Jig's hardened steel drill guides. Screws can be driven through the same drill guide into the joist with a depth collar that controls the screw's depth.
