At the end of 2010, the Research Institute for Cooking & Kitchen Intelligence (RICKI) conducted an online survey of its panel of professional kitchen designers about their 2010 business and their plans for 2011. Some highlights:
The designers who noted that business is better said that they have completed more high-end $50,000+ kitchen projects and an average of 22 projects in 2010. Designers who say business is worse are more likely to complete moderately priced $20,000 to $50,000 projects, and completed 11 projects last year.
According to the survey, designers are using a variety of strategies to spur business growth.
