Remodeler: Craig Deimler

Company: Deimler & Sons Construction, Harrisburg, Pa.

Product: Fypon Molded Millwork.

Several years ago, remodeler Craig Deimler was looking for a detailed millwork product that was more durable than custom-milled wood. He found Fypon's molded millwork product line, tried it, and has been using it ever since. "We've tried other brands, but we have not had the success we've had with this product," Deimler says.

Working on older homes as well as newer, Deimler appreciates Fypon's range of millwork styles. The manufacturer has a catalog of more than 4,500 architectural millwork products, including railings and balustrade systems, columns, window and door surrounds, functional and decorative louvers and gables, moldings, trims, and decorative accents. All profiles are made of a high-density polymer that will not crack, split, or rot and is resistant to insects. An exterior-grade topcoat never needs sanding, priming, or sealing.

"I use it for its ability to replicate architectural details that were common in older, more architecturally ornate homes without having to have them custom-made from wood, thus allowing me to save my clients some money but still giving them the look they desire," Deimler says.
