Featuring Fomo, Ply Gem, Georgia-Pacific, Nuheat, and Clopay

Ply Gem designed its Georgia-Pacific brand Compass panels for BlueLinx with a reverse full-roll double nail hem and four-point attachment locking system in order for the .044-inch-thick panels to resist winds of up to 222 mph. The siding features a wood-grain emboss and low-gloss finish as well as 5/8-inch reversed butt angles to secure overlaps and hide most seams. Georgia-Pacific,; 800.284.5347.

Nuheat, which makes electric floor-heating systems, now can custom-cut its mats to fit any floor while heating through stone, tile, granite, marble, slate, engineered wood, and laminates. The 1/8-inch-thick mats can be controlled with one of three thermostat systems as an alternative to radiators or baseboard heat. They can be installed under shower beds and in saunas. Nuheat,; 800.778.9276.

Clopay added to its line of faux-wood carriage-house-style garage doors with the Canyon Ridge Collection Ultra-Grain series, whose steel door is topped with a 1/2-inch-thick composite featuring carraige-house style detailing and a wood-grain finish. Two-inch-thick polyurethane foam is injected into the door for an 18.4 R-value. The door comes in two colors and 14 panel options. Clopay,; 800.225.6729.

Fomo altered the chemical structure of standard pour-in-place polyurethane foam with its new High Flow Technology. The technology allows the foam to flow for a longer period of time without expanding in order to fill larger spaces and more intricate voids at depths of up to 30 feet. That's more than three times the depth capacity of traditional foams, the company says. Fomo,; 800.321.5585.

Ply Gem’s new cellular PVC trim and moldings look like wood but resist dirt, cracking, and moisture and are manufactured without cellulose to resist insects. The edges do not require sealing or caulking and include pre-notched profiles for installation with vinyl siding. The new line is available in more than 100 profiles, widths, and thicknesses and also include post wraps, and skirt and bead boards. Ply Gem,; 888.975.9436.
