In Connecticut there are over 22,000 registered contractors, many doing great work. However, others are not meeting the standard. In 2015, over 800 complaints were filed with the state’s Department of Consumer Protection. Plus, over $800,000 worth of restitution was paid out for problems with home improvement projects. WTNH News 8 speaks with Jean Glass, a homeowner in Connecticut, who was left with $30,000 down the drain for a project that was left incomplete by a shoddy workman.
