At least 25 residents in Hampton Roads, Va., were victims of an unlicensed home improvement contractor. Residents say that Richard Warren Gentry never completed work that he was paid for. As the Miller family told WTKR, they paid Gentry $5,000 for a new porch that they never saw built.

Court documents in Hampton Roads show that Gentry has been charged with construction fraud multiple times in multiple cities and has stolen anywhere from $3,000 to upwards of 6,000 from local residents. Gentry is currently in jail and is awaiting his trial. Many residents will also be able to file in court to get their money back.
