An unlicensed contractor in Bristol, Conn., is about to hit the slammer after being sentenced to four and a half years for defrauding elderly clients with disabilities. In July 2014, 30-year-old Brian Curylo was arrested after racking up four cases over the next several months on charges that he solicited elderly clients for home improvement projects that were never started.

The family members of one of the elderly victims called Curylo, “a horrible human being.” Prosecutor Paul Rotiroti told the Bristol Press that he felt compelled to comment on this case as he felt “obligated to put the facts of the case on the record because of how disturbing he found Curylo’s actions.”
