After renting out the third floor apartment of his three-story home, landlord Eddie Shew began to receive calls that construction was occurring in the apartment. Shiew went up to the apartment and found that the two men renting the apartment had indeed been working on the apartment, changing it from 3 bedrooms to 10.

The tenants had also been using Airbnb to rent out the rooms which were apparently divided by walls of sheetrock. Sheiw proceeded to have the renovations torn down, changed the locks and demanded they leave:

The landlord has hired an attorney and is trying to evict them, claiming the two men violated the terms of the lease. The lease says “except as authorized by the consent of the Landlord, Tenants will not make any repairs or alterations to the premises."
