New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman today, filed a lawsuit against a home improvement contractor who allegedly scammed dozens of homeowners. Phillip Fox targeted the elderly, overcharging homeowners with outrageous prices, with shoddy work, and failed to complete any of the projects he was hired to do.

The Attorney General’s office is attempting to bar Fox and his company, Affordable Concrete Creations Inc., from operating unless he posts a $250,000 bond and refunds swindled customers. Fox is accused of having swindled a pair of sisters for over $80,000 for remodeling work never completed.

"“To defraud hardworking New Yorkers who are seeking a home improvement contractor is illegal and wrong, but to deliberately target the elderly when scamming consumers is reprehensible,” said Attorney General Schneiderman in a press release.
