While more money is being placed to renovate homes, upscale furniture stores aren’t reaping the benefits. Restoration Hardware, an upscale home furnishing story, last week closed the market with disappointing quarter earnings for January. Affected by oil markets, upscale home furnishing stores are all suffering.

However, Telsey Advisory Group analyst Cristina Fernandez told Marketplace that the troubles Restoration Hardware is facing are also of its own making by not having enough inventory after new products are launched.
