When local Spanish architect Adrian Elizade was tasked with renovating a circa-1930s apartment, she was pleasantly surprised by what she discovered. Hidden beneath previous layers, the apartment had gorgeous ceramic tile floors throughout the home.

To enhance the tile, Curbed writes that Elizade “left the barrel vaulted ceilings episode, painting them white, along with the walls.” She also added custom plywood furniture to accent the rooms, giving them a modern flair with the aged title.
