The National Association of Remodeling has released new data from their national phone survey of 4,079 respondents who rated projects on a scale of 1-10 on how much “joy” their new remodel brought to them. A bathroom renovation, for example, yielded a 9.3 average “joy” score.

To dig further into what could bring joy to the pockets of homeowners, the Casa Grande Dispatch looks at Remodeling Magazine’s Cost vs. Value report to advise readers on which home remodeling projects are the best bang for their buck. With the cost of a remodeling project rising to 4.7% just this year, homeowners want to be assured that they are going to get their money back on any project they undertake.

The best return value is on adding fiberglass insulation to an attic which saw an average return of 136.3%.
