The tiny home craze just won't seem to go away. It might look like fun on TV, but is it really all its cracked up to be? If you've ever asked that question, or had a client ask that, just point them to Escape Homes, where those looking to test out the Tiny House lifestyle can rent a portable property for a night. Builder's Jennifer Goodman takes a look at what's on offer:

Starting at 162 square feet, the models will show renters what micro living feels like, says Escape Homes founder Dan Dobrowolski. The models are designed to feel larger than they are, with oversized windows, open floor plans; full working kitchens and baths; and soothing sleeping quarters.

“Consumers test drive a car before purchasing it,” says Dobrowolski. “Why shouldn’t they have the option to ‘test stay’ their home, too.”
