Philadelphia homeowners and renters are feeling left out in the cold after finding out that their homes aren’t up to code because proper permits were never gathered for remodeling work by one remodeling company.

Days after Marquita Horton-Jackson and her husband moved into their new home, they noted that the deck was wobbly. Ayhan Construction worked on five homes throughout Philadelphia, each time failing to pull appropriate permits. Since the investigation, Ayhan Construction has had their license suspended and they are no longer allowed to do this type of work within the city.
