Having plead guilty to charges of theft by depiction, deceptive business practice, and home improvement fraud Aaaron Michael Stead in West Norriton, Pa., has been sentenced to 23 months in a county jail and five years of probation.
Stead was hired to do roof repairs after being paid $2,797. However, after several months with no work to show for it, the homeowner reached out to Stead in April and May of 2015 where Stead began to offer various excuses for work not being completed. When asked if she could get her deposit back, Stead didn’t respond. At the same time, Stead was being just as deceptive with two other customers, continuing to make excuses for why work wasn’t being done and failed to return deposits to his customers.
All three victims called the town police leading to his arrest.
