A recent study by the National Association of Home Builders, finds that there are over 48 million U.S. households that are headed by someone age 55 or older. The data varies from state to state, but NAHB found that in no state do 55+ households account for less than 34%, ore more than 49%, of all households.

What does this mean for remodelers? As the population ages, it means that, in the future, there will be more aging-in-place business for homeowners who want to remodel to accommodate their aging parents or themselves.
