First, word of mouth continues to be one of the best marketing strategies. By going above and beyond for your clients, they are more likely to tell their friends, family, and neighbors about their experience with your company. Leone points to a study by Nielson that finds that 84% of consumers say they “trust recommendations from friends, family, and colleagues about products and services.”
Second, after you’ve completed a project, follow up with the client about your service. If you have water bottles, mugs, etc. with your product logo on that give it to them as a thank you along with a hand written note. When you do follow up with your client, be sure to ask them if they know anyone else that would appreciate your business. This is a good way to get new clients and keep your existing ones.
Leone also encourages readers to promote positive energy so that it’s reflected in your work and on your clients. Lastly, using social media as a tool in your daily business is critical.
