WBFO’s Press Pass speaks with Investigative Post’s Dan Telvock on how 85,500 housing units in Buffalo, New York are considered “at risk” from lead paint exposure. Dan Telvock has been reporting on the lead problem in Buffalo since 2014.
“It takes less an a sugar packet of lead-based dust or paint to poison a child,” Dan Telvock of Investigative Post told WBFO. Having covered lead and environmental issues for Investigative Post for eight years.
For the Investigative Post, Telvock found that 273 children just in 2015 tested positive for relatively high levels of lead in their blood. An additional 123 children needed to have “some sort of medical intervention.”
