What's the most impressive remodel you've ever completed? Does it come close to this London workshop featured at Design Milk? This former upholsterers workshop was remodeled into a three story home, retaining its narrow design while expanding vertically with a basement and raised roof:

Falling into disrepair, the abandoned Victorian structure was renovated by Kirkwood McCarthy into a two-bedroom, open plan home that involved digging a new basement and raising the roof. Due to its modest footprint, the vertical design of the Winkley Workshop, spans three floors and transitions from public to private.

The new home incorporates the bricks from the original building while creating a more modern interior. Click on the link below to visit the original article over at Design Milk and see how the remodeler transformed the abandoned workshop into a stylish new living space.
