At the CertainTeed booth at the International Builder’s Showcase, Resigner and Hunter look into the new Habito drywall that has “no hollow-wall anchors or other hardware required.”

As Resigner and Hunter explain, Habito is heavier to handle than ordinary drywall. ... And it's maybe not going to eliminate blocking in walls for kitchen cabinets, which might require a little more holding power than the rated 30 pounds per screw ....However , this panel product makes sense for installing in strategic locations where you know the occupants will likely have a lot of pictures, a flat-screen TV, speakers , or built-ins and the medicine cabinet.
