This house just hit the market in Bellevue, Wash. It looks just like any other house on the market with a large deck and million dollar views. But when residents enter this home, it's a whole new living experience.
GIS International Group recently completed this four-story, 6,600-square-foot home and powered it with an Amazon Echo Dot and Samsung SmartThings. When residents walk through the door, smooth jazz begins to play and a simple command, "Alexa, turn on the lights" illuminates the whole house.
Sonos speakers that connect with smartphones and other devices are installed in several rooms, with hookups for the owner to install more of them throughout the house. The house does not have every smart technology available. For example, most of the installed smart features are confined to the main floor, and the house does not have smart appliances. But much of the house is wired in a way that supports other smart features and possible future innovations.
GIS International Group is now working on its next project, Park12 Bellevue, which includes 12 townhouses starting in the $800,000s that will likely include similar smart features.
