In 1937, William R. Bootz purchased the assets of Crescent Stove Works in Evansville, Indiana, and began manufacturing sheet metal stampings and sheet metal assemblies. One year later, the company became Evansville's first war factory, fabricating steel products for the United State Army and Navy. Bootz Manufacturing earned six Army/Navy Excellence Awards during World War II for its production of practice bombs and cooking equipment. After the war, Bootz continued to manufacture steel products for various American companies. Production of porcelain-on-steel bathtubs, lavatories, and kitchen sinks began in 1979.

Bootz Industries has become a major U.S. producer for porcelain-on-steel fixtures, and our products are sold internationally under the Bootz Industries label. Our products are marketed nationally via the industry's largest retail home improvement centers and throughout the world by independent sales agencies. The sizes, styles, and color offerings of bathtubs, lavatories, and kitchen sinks include approximately 150 stock items. Our product line is accepted among the industry's most popular plumbing wholesalers, contractors, and builders. Since 2001, Bootz has seen production capacity double with the purchase and installation of modern processing equipment.

From 1937 to the present, from bombs to bathtubs, we maintain our tradition of innovative excellence.
