Providing a clean, sleek look, undermount stainless steel sinks are all the rage in kitchens. But alternative materials are also showing up, along with interesting basin shapes and configurations.

Kohler. The cast iron, undermount Clarity sink features a deep double-basin design with a contemporary silhouette. With an interior depth of 8 3/8 inches, the sinks measure 33 by 22 inches and have a narrow saddle separating the offset rectangular basins. (800) 456-4537.

Julien. Featuring one wooden knife block and three utensil wells, as well as a 5-inch-tall backsplash with an integral wedge-shaped drawer, work-top sink model 0450 offers ample storage. Moen. Made of a heavyweight, 18-gauge stainless steel, Lancelot undermount sinks feature a unique curved back.
