An investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, found that a Texas contractor paid laborers flat time rates for overtime hours worked over the course of a two-year period. Located in Deer Park, Texas, Allied Foundation Specialists now is required to pay $682,318 in back wages to 160 of its employees due to the allegations. The company employs 200 workers.

Furthermore, the Department of Labor found that record keeping for the number of days and hours that employees worked were not kept. Now, the company has said that it will keep records and comply with all regulations set forth by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
