In Lancaster County, Pa., William Lazrovitch was arrested in April for running home improvement scams with his brother throughout the county. Authorities involved in the arrest say that Lazrovitch targeted older residents in 2014 and 2015. Lazrovitchand his brother would offer up services, get paid, and then not complete the projects.
Lazrovitch pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of theft by deception and home improvement fraud in exchange for a 5-year probation term. He also had to pay $1,960 in restitution as part of his plea deal agreement. He is now banned from home-improvement or landscaping projects and the case against Lazrovitch’s brother is still pending.
