Charges are being filed against a Michigan contractor who took money deposits, while never performing jobs he was paid for. Local authorities have filed charges against KBC Home Improvements in Kalamazoo, Mich. along with the Michigan State Police beginning a broader investigation. One case involves Stephen Lewis, KBC Home Improvements President, being payed $2,7700 for window delivery and installation, but the customer says the windows were never delivered nor installed over the course of the next year and a half.
Lewis is facing criminal charges of contractor fraud and a felony. The maximum penalty that Lewis faces is up to three years in prison.
