Q: All I do is work. I want my life back. How do I do it?
A: For consistent work/life balance, you must choose to have balance and be committed to having it. Also, look at what threw you off in the first place. Be willing to change. Do you see yourself in any of these personality types?
The lone ranger. Do you insist on being involved in every aspect of a job? Give up believing you're the only solution. Make room for your team, and hold them accountable for their contribution. Delegate to those who are qualified; provide them the necessary tools.
Strong, silent type. If there's something you want and you don't have it, ask for it. Asking for help is a strength all successful leaders must possess.
Leader of the rat race. Many leaders don't mentor because they think they lack time. How can anyone attain work/life balance by being the keeper of all things, always?
We all have a choice in how our lives turn out. What do you choose?
