A homeowner in Ladera Heights, Calif. was having work done on their house when a construction worker discovered two large human bones.

Deputy Sara Rodrigues of the Sheriff's Information Bureau says it is currently unknown how long the human remains have been at the residence. Westood-Century City Patch has the full story:

The homeowner contacted the sheriff's Marina Del Rey Station this morning and deputies responded to the residence, retrieved the bones and took them to the coroner's office, Rodriguez said.

"Coroner's office officials and personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Crime Lab examined the two large bones and determined (they) were a human femur and tibia," Rodriguez said.
