Siding & Windows Group has employed some of the same employees for 15 years. That dedication is due to knowing how integral its employees are to success. “We deliver coffee and snacks to jobsites. We make our employees our priority,” Bianca Bednarski, director of marketing and business administration, tells Remodeling. “If we ever need new talent, we have a large network of industry suppliers, vendors, etc., who are able to give referrals.”

Hiring and retaining employees is key, since they’re the ones on the jobsite day to day. If an issue arises, it’s expected that whoever is there will identify it and resolve it as soon as possible. “All staff is extensively trained with an eye for detail,” Bednarski says. “Each house is different and unique. Our staff can shift gears to meet client needs. Whatever we say we do is what we do. We don’t ever go off course.”

To help stay on course, Siding & Windows Group employs some of the latest and greatest apps to create digital models of homes and simplify tasks like estimation and measuring, Bednarski says. “We use RenoWorks for designing the house. A new application called Hover predicts accurate measurements. We have an amazing CRM system, MarketSharp. It fits the team and keeps things organized.”

The Siding & Windows Group website shows off its technical prowess in the online design center. Clients can look at sample projects or upload photos of their own homes and explore product possibilities and changes in real time.

- While Siding & Windows Group prides itself on its use of technology, classic techniques still pay dividends. “We have a window mobile showroom that we can park in front of houses. Homeowners stop by and we get four to eight good leads,” Bednarski says.

- The company also has a referral program to encourage clients to share their experiences and point friends in the right direction. For any referral that ends up going through with an estimate, the referrer receives a $50 gas card.
