As owners of one of the top Re-Bath franchises in the U.S., Jason Hicks and David Driskill say they have a business that’s “always evolving.” They built the 42-person company using systems provided by their franchisor, along with technology such as MarketSharp, to create efficiencies and reduce waste. “We have a system for almost everything, right from the initial call all the way through to our follow-up surveys,” Hicks says. And they give a lot of credit for their sales system to industry sales coach Rodney Webb.
• The company rarely uses subcontractors; has an apprentice program; and does all training in-house. There are specialists for every task: tubs and showers; plumbers; flooring; painting; texturing.
• When Re-Bath is in a client’s home, the crews are never pulled off for another job. “If we’re at your house, you’re our only job,” Hicks says.
• A PEO (professional employer organization) handles all HR issues.
• Salespeople use laptops for client presentations.
