Legacy Remodeling, with its largest business being a basement finishing franchise, got slammed when the 2009 credit crunch put financing out of reach for many Pittsburgh-area home­owners.

After careful analysis, president Jeff Moeslein got a canvassing effort up and running and pushed Legacy to enter the full-service remodeling field, installing kitchens, baths, and additions. Canvassing leads, a strong brand position and a database of past customers helped ensure success. “We think we have the ability to market multiple offerings by building one brand,” Moeslein says. Future plans include a Customer Concierge position, expansion into handyman and home performance, and a return to the company’s well-known TV campaigns.
