Joseph Episcopo & Sons’ calling card is more than half a century of quality work and first-class service. Brothers Joe and Dean Episcopo went to work for their father, who founded the company, before they were 10 years old. The company promises clients that it will have a uniformed employee — in Episcopo’s signature green — on the job, every job. That level of accountability and control is “a big aspect for our sales team,” Dean says.
Maintenance and repair work for its past clients generate many of the company’s bigger projects, such as additions. Episcopo & Sons specializes in masonry work. The remodeler’s 16 well-signed trucks are a familiar sight in the three North Jersey towns where the company does business.
Last August, when Hurricane Irene blew through the area, the company bought 20 generators and rented them to its clients. “We made money on it,” Dean says, “but the bigger thing was that we were able to provide that service.”
