A strong Dallas-area remodeling market and a whopping eight hail storms last year helped the trio of DFW Improved  owners triple their volume between 2010 and 2011. But even without the promise of severe weather, the company is set to grow in 2012, thanks to an eager sales staff.

“We believe wholeheartedly in the mantra, ‘If it is to be, it’s up to me,’” says co-owner Gary St. John. “Commission-based sales is hard, and we can’t make a person into someone they’re not. On our staff, everyone is open and honest and wants to do the best for themselves and the company.”

Because the company’s sales reps are independent, their locations outside the main office allow DFW to expand to a larger service area. Pursuing new services such as pool and outdoor construction, as well as foreclosure renovation will further help St. John (right), Price (center), and Simms (left) grow the business.
